Background

In December 2024, as I wasn't able to find my SF-2012 Digital Kitchen Scale at home, I decided to look around for a new digital kitchen scale to weigh my stuff.

As I was walking around a Japan Home store, I found the Digital Kitchen Scale Glass Top, which looks like a good replacement. Since it wasn't expensive, I decided to get it.

The Stuff

The Digital Kitchen Scale Glass Top is rectangular shape designed and can weigh stuff from 0 to 5000g. It requires 2 x AAA size batteries which is included in the packaging. It can be measured in g, kg, lb, Oz, fl. Oz, tl, ct, and ml. The dimensions of this stuff are 210 x 510 x 19 mm.

Here are some pictures that I have taken to show what the stuff looks like:

Usage and Experience

I have had the Digital Kitchen Scale Glass Top for a few months since this post. So far, I haven't had any issues while weighing stuff using this.

I like that it has a glass top, which feels solid. But that being said, I should be careful not to drop it.

I also like that the scale has a battery indicator on the display to show the remaining battery. This is useful as I will know when to replace the batteries.

I wished that the corners had more curves, making the design nicer.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I feel that the Digital Kitchen Scale Glass Top is an affordable and well-built glass top digital scale to weigh stuff. Somehow, I couldn't find it online. So if you are interested in this stuff, you can visit any Japan Home stores and try your luck.

Alternatively, you can click on some of the alternatives that I have found on Shopee and Amazon:
