Background
In January 2024, I was getting some Mizuno stuff on their website. I needed to hit 100 SGD for free delivery, so I looked at what other stuff I could get.
I came across the Mizuno Shoes Dryer P1GZ201809 and felt that this could be something useful. As such I decided to purchase it.
The Stuff
Based on the packaging, the Mizuno Shoes Dryer P1GZ201809 is a pair of desiccant silica gel bags. The features are as follows (translated from Japanese):
- Removes unpleasant odors and moisture from inside shoes caused by sweating during sports.
- Removes moisture from inside the shoes due to rain, etc.
- The surface fabric uses "BIO GUARD CG-x", an antibacterial and deodorizing treated material, which neutralizes odor-causing bacteria and makes it odorless.
Here are some pictures that I have taken to show what the stuff looks like:

Usage and Experience
I have been using the Mizuno Shoes Dryer P1GZ201809 for about a month since this post. I use it on my badminton shoes after coming home from playing badminton, as they will be damp. I leave the dryer for a day and remove it from the shoe the next day, and I find the shoes to be dry after that.
Apparently, based on the information on the packaging, the shoe dryer can be regenerated by drying it in the sun from time to time, which I have not done so yet. This will restore its moisture absorption ability and allow it to be used repeatedly.
