Usage and Experience
Background
Back in November 2021, I was surfing the web when an idea of how to search for hidden cameras and spying devices hit me. I decided to search around for one and found the Jepwco G8 Elite RF Detector. As this is an interesting device to me, I decided to purchase one to try it out.
The Stuff
The Jepwco G8 Elite RF Detector comes in a pen-like size either in a cylinder or in a rectangle shape design. The one that I purchased is the rectangle shape design.
Based on the information from Amazon*, It comes with the following functions/modes:
- RF wireless signal detection
- UG magnetic field signal detection
- Camera detection
- Auxiliary lighting by flashlight
In terms of the packaging, here is what it contains:
- The Jepwco G8 Elite RF Detector
- LED laser lamp
- USB A to micro USB cable
- Manual
Here are some pictures that I have taken to show how the stuff looks like:

Usage and Experience
I have tried using the Jepwco G8 Elite RF Detector for a while now. Initially, I was a bit lost on how to use this device but after reading the manual, I roughly understand.
For the RF wireless signal detection mode, signal sensitivity can be adjusted by turning the dial at the side of the device. It can only detect when there is a signal emission, which includes wireless routers.
For the UG magnetic field signal detection mode, the magnet must be strong enough to be detected. When this mode is on, the flashlight will also be turned on, which I can't turn off.
As for camera detection, the LED Laser Lamp that is provided must be attached to the device. While I have no real scenario of a hidden camera to test, I just test by pointing it to my phone camera.
The LED Laser Lamp has 7 different modes, from fully on to flashing speeds from slow to fast.

Final Thoughts
Overall, I feel that the Jepwco G8 Elite RF Detector is an interesting device to have. Unfortunately, I can only tell whether it works by having a real scenario of a room suspected of being bugged by hidden cameras and other devices.
