Back in my cycling days when I just had my road bike, I was looking online to see what kind of front light I would need for my ride. It is important as I usually ride at night. I came across watching Global Cycling Network (GCN) on YouTube talking about safety lights. As such, I went around cycling shops in Singapore to look for one, and I saw the Cateye Rapid X2 White Front Light. Since Cateye is a trusted brand, I decided to get it.
The Stuff
The Cateye Rapid X2 White Front Light is a safety light with an aero kinda design. It is to be mounted on one side of the fork, though it can be mounted on the handlebar which will look weird. Recharging it is via micro USB and it has 6 different lighting modes. It also has a mode memory function that will go back to the last lighting mode when power up.
Here are some pictures of the product that I have taken to show how it looks like:

Usage and Experience
The Cateye Rapid X2 White Front Light is a standard light mounted on my fork whenever I am out for a ride, regardless of day or night. As it is a safety light, it is bright enough for oncoming vehicles either from the front or the side to see that I am approaching at night. The flashing mode is good enough for me to be visible to others :)
Usage is very simple. Press and hold the button to power on or off the light. A quick press will switch to the next mode. As mentioned is has a mode memory function, powering it on again will bring the light back to the last light mode.

Final Thoughts
Overall, I feel that the Cateye Rapid X2 White Front Light is a good addition for night riding in terms of safety. As of now, it is not easy to find it online now but I manage to find it on Amazon UK. If you are interested to find out more, you can click on the links below:
