Back in December 2017, I was looking at Xiaomi stuff online to get as Christmas presents. I chanced upon the Xiaomi Mijia Automatic Umbrella and found that it is a useful item to get not just as a Christmas present, but for myself to use as well. As such, I went on to purchase 3 of them, once for myself. Subsequently, I went on to purchase one more as a backup :)
The Product
The Xiaomi Mijia Automatic Umbrella comes only in black color. There is no fancy design, just a very simple, minimalistic solid black color. The packaging itself comes only with the umbrella and the cover. I feel that the umbrella is very well made. It weighs 422g and has a length of 33.5cm. The diameter of the umbrella is about 1 meter after opening up. On the handle, it has a button to open and close the umbrella.

Usage and Experience
I have been using the Xiaomi Mijia Automatic Umbrella from the moment I have it till the present. It has been my official umbrella to bring along whenever I'm going out. It's the only umbrella that I need. I even bring it along when I'm traveling overseas. With its about 1m diameters, it is big enough to cover 2 people.
The one good thing that I found compared to other umbrellas is that it does not drip much if you close it after using it. This is good if you do not want to put it back into the umbrella cover immediately, and making the floor wet with your dripping umbrella, especially when boarding a bus.
To open the umbrella, remove the cover and unbutton the strip that holds the umbrella cloth together. Make sure you have a safe distance and no obstacles in front of you while opening the umbrella. You do not want to shock or hit others with your automatic umbrella :) Once ready, press the button on the umbrella to open and you are good to go.
To close the umbrella, simply press the button before retracting back the umbrella.
